Meet Your Coach
Yoga Teacher, Nutrition Consultant & Rehab Specialist
Hi, I’m Mallika Rathod — Founder of Sanjeevani Yoga
I help people with Yoga, Mobility, Movement Science, Pranayama, Nutrition, Nourishment, Meditation, Guidance, and Consultation.
I’m not here to your align your chakras.
I’m here to help you come back to yourself—with clarity, connection, and a little more breath.
Through yoga, therapy-based movement, and honest wellness guidance, I support people in reclaiming vitality.
Sanjeevani means Restorer of Life—and that’s what I aim to be through my work.
This space is where I share what I’ve studied, practiced, questioned, lived, and continue to explore—through the lens of yoga, movement, therapy, and nourishment.
How it all began
My first taste of meditation was at the age of six, at ISKCON Juhu in Mumbai. My father would take me and my sister—we’d attend the aarti and sometimes visit a nearby seven-story meditation building. Each floor was dedicated to a deity, ending in a silent room at the top.
Though I often dozed off during meditation, something about the stillness, reverence, and presence stayed with me. It planted a seed.
Between 2013 to 2016, I pursued business studies at Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management in Mumbai. I was academically strong—especially in Maths and Finance—and even secured a summer internship at the Reserve Bank of India.
Back then, everyone thought I’d become a banker. Honestly, I thought so too. Either that, or just somebody’s wife.
The truth is, I didn’t have a strong sense of purpose. I didn’t think very highly of myself. I would do what everyone else was doing—copying, following, not choosing.
In my final semester, we had a subject called Indian Management of Thoughts and Practices. That’s where I came across the Dharma Table—a version of Maslow’s Hierarchy flipped upside down. That one idea changed how I viewed success, fulfillment, and purpose.
Then came a series of small nudges:
- • A society aunty told me, “You should try yoga.”
- • I flipped through the Bhagavad Gita and noticed the word “yoga” appeared more than 70 times.
- • A friend I knew had started practicing yoga too.
Something clicked.
Instead of going on a Goa trip with friends, I signed up for my first Yoga TTC at The Yoga Institute, Santacruz—the oldest organized yoga school in the world. It wasn’t planned. It just felt right. Like it was meant to be.
The Unfolding
I moved to Pune to pursue my Master’s at Symbiosis—and even then, yoga wasn’t the plan.
From 2017 to 2021, I worked with three fitness-tech startups: Fitato, Great Fit, and Fitbox.
Simultaneously, I explored over 50 fitness places across the city—gyms, studios, movement labs. This gave me a rare, panoramic view of the fitness industry—its illusions, noise, delusions, and the false promises around fat loss, weight loss, and “wellness.”
At the same time, I was teaching yoga in local gyms and studios—early mornings before work, late evenings after. I was learning, integrating, and applying—on the mat, in classrooms, in consultations, and in conversations.
I even distributed flyers around my neighborhood and offered yoga classes for as low as ₹90 per session—including door-to-door personal yoga. I stayed transparent, open, and honest—and the word began to spread.
While the startups began to fail, my yoga page—built initially using Shutterstock images—kept growing. People resonated with the sincerity, the honesty, and the love.
I didn’t choose yoga. Yoga kept showing up—and eventually, I said yes.
Where I Am Today
Over the last 8+ years, I’ve worked with over 1,500 students across:
• Workshops, masterclasses, and yoga events
• One-on-one sessions and group classes
• Corporate wellness programs (BlackRock, Infosys, Deutsche Bank, Tieto, Absoba & more)
• Yoga parties, fitness festivals, and marathons
During COVID, I worked with 60–70 doctors, guiding them in therapeutic yoga and pranayama to reduce stress and help them support their patients more effectively.
I currently offer online yoga classes , workshops and access to past recordings.
Nutrition, Movement & Busting Myths
In time, I expanded my training into nutrition, movement science, prehab, and rehab to become a more informed and an embodied guide.
Today, my nutrition consultations are centered on busting myths—not just about weight loss, but also food fear, hormones, calorie obsession, and the toxic narratives around nourishment and beauty.
Much of my work involves helping people unlearn false beliefs and reconnect to clarity with compassion.
Rooted in Service
Service and community engagement have always been part of my path.
I’ve contributed to:
• Yerwada Mental Hospital
• Smile NGO
• Madat Trust (donated 12 inches of hair for cancer support)

Final Word
I never had a rigid plan—just curiosity.
I still follow that.
Wellness doesn’t need to be perfect, rigid, or staged.
It can be raw, kind, curious, messy, powerful—and deeply yours.
Be brave. Come back to your breath.
Final Thought | Yoga Quote
Yoga is the most inconvenient and uncomfortable thing I’ve ever done—yet also the most freeing.
It teaches you to stay with your pain, your breath, your past, your emotions.
It connects you to your prana, your power, your gut, your wisdom.
It helps you face the truth with grace.
Yoga builds strength, sharpens your wit, strengthens your intuition, and deepens your connection with the universe.
It will open paths you didn’t know existed.
It will change the way you live.
So give yoga a try.
It may just guide you home.
